This research precisely examines the scope of extracting criminal law foundations from the Holy Quran, employing a typological and interdisciplinary approach. It aims to discover and deduce these Islamic legal principles using the *Estentaq* method, thereby laying the groundwork for coherent and practical legal frameworks based on Quranic teachings.



The methodology involves analyzing Quranic verses related to criminal law through dialogue and *estentaq* with the text, integrating jurisprudential, legal, and interpretative perspectives. This process seeks to precisely identify and classify Islamic criminal law principles. An interdisciplinary approach is utilized to foster a deeper understanding by combining diverse academic disciplines.



Findings indicate that the *Estentaq* method, when combined with an interdisciplinary approach, is an effective tool for extracting criminal law foundations from the Quran. This integration of jurisprudential, legal, and Quranic studies perspectives leads to a more comprehensive understanding. Furthermore, a typological analysis of these foundations enables more precise categorization and identification of general criminal law principles.



Ultimately, the research concludes that this examination of Quranic criminal law foundations not only deepens our understanding of Islamic legal theory but also facilitates the development of consistent legal frameworks suited to contemporary Islamic societies. Emphasizing the practical applicability of its findings, this study contributes to the formulation of penal policies rooted in Quranic teachings across various social and legal strata.
