Article Acceptance Process
A. Review Policies:
Manuscript review in the journal Quran-Based Humanities Studies, like other journals affiliated with the University of Quranic Sciences and Teachings, follows a double-blind peer review process (where neither the author’s nor the reviewer’s identity is disclosed to the other party). Each manuscript is evaluated by at least two expert reviewers specializing in the relevant subject area.
B. Reviewers’ Responsibilities:
- Reviewers must maintain strict confidentiality regarding all manuscript information.
- Reviewers must remain completely impartial during manuscript evaluation.
- Reviewers must provide written feedback and assign a numerical score to the manuscript.
- If reviewers identify a similar or duplicate study, they must notify the Editor-in-Chief.
- Reviewers are obligated to report to the Editor-in-Chief if they detect biased, subjective, racist, or otherwise discriminatory content that undermines the rights of others.
- In cases of conflict of interest between reviewers and authors, reviewers must recuse themselves from evaluating the manuscript.
- Reviewers must assist the Editorial Board in assessing the qualitative aspects of manuscripts.
- Reviewers must complete evaluations within the specified timeframe and promptly notify the editorial office if they are unable to review due to scheduling conflicts or any other reason.
- Manuscript reviews must be conducted according to established evaluation criteria and supported by scientific reasoning and documented evidence.
- Reviewers must adhere to the journal’s policies and guidelines when conducting reviews.
C. Authors’ Responsibilities:
Dear Authors, please observe the following instructions when submitting your manuscripts:
- The Author Information File must include: article title, full names of all authors, institutional affiliations, institutional email addresses, phone numbers, and complete residential addresses.
- The Main Manuscript File must include: article title, abstract, keywords, main text, research findings, and final references — and must contain no identifying information about the authors.
